Nowadays, many organizations have recognized the importance of data as one of their vital assets. Data and information can provide an understanding of customers, products, and services. These data and information will also lead to innovation and the achievement of organizations' strategic goals. However, with this understanding, few organizations treat data management processes as an asset that can create value. The book "The Body of Data Management Knowledge" attempts to address all dimensions and aspects of data management. The most important of these dimensions include: data architecture, data modeling and design, data storage and operations on it, data security, data integration and interoperability, data warehousing and business intelligence, and data quality. In traditional management, reports from middle-level managers or organization experts were used to explain the organization's mission and vision. These reports are based on the personal inferences and self-declarations of experts. It is evident that in self-declarations, there may often be underreporting or overreporting, either randomly or sometimes intentionally. Therefore, the rate of error or mistake in these reports will be high. The presence of errors in management statistical reports can mislead the organization instead of guiding it. Therefore, in modern management, efforts are made to use data science instead of relying on individual self- declarations. Data-driven trends and charts that emerge from an organization's performance can serve as the best guide for outlining the organization's missions and visions. Although we must be very careful in defining the path, it is important to note that by guiding data, we mean high-quality data; because low-quality data is akin to the underreporting or overreporting by mid-level managers. The audience for the book " Data Management Body of Knowledge" can include all those interested in data science topics; in other words, this book can be beneficial for enthusiasts in management (across all specializations), computer engineering and information technology, industrial engineering, computer science, and more. However, this book also pays special attention to decision-making and decision-taking managers, so that they can, with the knowledge of the topics raised in this book, create a renovation around decision-making, decision-taking, foreseeing, prevention, and generally efficient management in their organization.
