Major Functions:
- To conduct the research projects aiming at reviewing and presenting some practical methods to reduce sampling and non-sampling errors in the statistical surveys in particular, and to provide procedures for increasing the productivity of the statistical projects in general
- To review the modern statistical methods
- To give the necessary recommendations and guidelines in the area of the statistical projects to different organizations in the country
- To have consultations and exchange experiences with the universities, research centers, societies, and scientific personalities
- To design surveys to produce the most recent statistics required for the planning and decision-making system
- To analyze the statistics produced in order to introduce ways to make a proper use of them
- To study procedures for enhancing the statistical knowledge and culture in the society
